It’s been a day since they stopped trying to induce labor. Doc did another treatment to help get things prepared. Probably late afternoon or early evening they will start trying to induce again. Meanwhile, sleep and quiet are at the top of the agenda. Again, looking more like tomorrow than today.
Cheri had a surprise visitor today. Bindi arrived just as she started eating lunch. One of the nurses let us know which door was closest to the elevators. Several nurses and Dr. Edwards (org doc) came in to visit as well.
Cheri is curently on a monitor that tracks Baby’s heartbeat. On specific Eagles songs mentioned below (July 23), Baby’s heartbeat slowed down slightly. Could Joe Walsh really have a calming effect? She will test other songs and artists as opportunity and availability permit.
Latest text message received from Meriter room 692… More dark chocolate M&Ms. Cheri prefers the peanut variety.
Cheri now has a portable DVD player and a collection of Cary Grant movies to help pass time.
Doc has reviewed the results of the ultrasound from yesterday. There is the beginning of some concern about the movement of blood between Baby and the placenta. Apparently this is one of the many things that get monitored with preeclampsia. Doc has reassured us that Baby should stay on the inside right now. They’re doing daily monitoring of both Cheri and Baby. Next week will be another ultrasound.That said, we’re definitely getting closer to Baby coming into this world… and she will be coming early.
